Imagine trying to find your way through a dark, mysterious forest without a map. That’s often how it feels for international businesses trying to navigate the complex financial landscape in Finland. But fear not, because Digitulos is here to be your guide.

From a Vietnamese girl born and raised in Finland, Jasmin nurtured the dream of contributing to the creation of a strong Vietnamese business community here which led to the founding of Digitulos. With a mission to connect the Vietnamese entrepreneurs and offer comprehensive financial services from accounting, taxes, to business consulting, Digitulos quickly affirmed the position.

With Digitulos, you no longer need to worry about financial hassles; instead, you can focus on growing your business.

Beyond its clients file, Digitulos also created a vibrant Facebook community Business, Accounting, Tax and Business Knowledge in Finland to share timely and accurate information on tax and business laws.

In this blog, we explore the story behind Digitulos through an interview with Ms. Jasmin Pham – Founder and CEO of Digitulos, and Ms. Huyen – Marketing Manager focusing on the Vietnamese business community in Finland. Through their insights, BiziVietnam hopes to provide profound perspectives on the challenges, opportunities and valuable experiences in building a successful Vietnamese business in Finland.

When I began supporting my family’s business, I realized how challenging it was to grasp Finland’s legal and financial systems, especially for newcomers facing language barriers. This experience inspired me to establish Digitulos, a financial company that provides professional guidance services, and resource support, with a special focus on the Vietnamese community in Finland.

What difficulties and challenges have you encountered during your business journey?

Culture is a significant barrier, but it also presents an opportunity for learning and growth.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was the cultural differences. For example, Finns typically work with a strict and systematic approach, so waiting for processing times can often take longer than expected. This requires us to understand our clients’ concerns and support them to navigate the cultural shocks of doing business in Finland.

Another difficulty is how to accurately and fully convey information about Finnish finances and laws into other languages, including Vietnamese. Specialized terms in accounting and tax always require absolute precision, even a small mistake can lead to serious consequences.

Additionally, the legal system in Finland is continuously updated and changed. This forces us to always be ready to learn new knowledge. Keeping track of information from tax authorities and participating in training courses is crucial to ensure the quality of our services and build trust with our clients.

Besides the difficulties, what advantages has your business had? What kind of support have you received from people around you?

The first advantage is our multilingual communication ability. Understanding our customers’ culture and psychology helps us build strong and trustworthy relationships. Many clients have shared that they feel very reassured to be advised by someone who understands their language and culture.

Service quality builds customer trust, and that is our most valuable asset

We always strive to listen and provide the best financial solutions tailored to each client. Besides, we have received a lot of support from the Vietnamese community in Finland. Their sharing and spreading of information have helped Digitulos become more widely known. This support is a significant motivation for us to continue developing and improving our services.

How do you expect your business to develop in the coming years?

In the future, Digitulos aims to be a trusted partner for Vietnamese and international businesses in Finland. We will expand our operations to serve the Vietnamese community and target potential markets like China and Thailand. Alongside, we will continue to enhance service quality and trust as our central growth strategy. In addition, Digitulos also aims to organize more events to share business knowledge with the Vietnamese community in Finland.

As someone running a business in Finland, do you have any advice for new entrepreneurs?

For newcomers to Finland, it’s important to understand the market, legal environment, and work culture. This will help avoid potential business issues. Additionally, having a detailed business plan for customer sales, competitive products, and investment capital is essential. A thorough business plan allows business owners to identify and prepare for the outcomes, increasing the likelihood of success.

Continuous learning is the key to success in an ever changing business environment.

– Huyen, Marketing Manager.
