Finland Vietnam diplomatic relation anniversary celebration

Today marks the 45th anniversary of Finland-Vietnam diplomatic relations. The diplomatic relations between Finland and Vietnam were established on the January 25th, 1973.

Congratulatory letters were exchanged between Ministers of Foreign Affairs. Together with the event Finland 100, numerous events in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh cities will be held to celebrate this anniversary.

Finland is an important strategic partner of Vietnam. Finland has great help to the Vietnam’s socio-economic development for many years. This year, with the visit of Vice President of Vietnam to Finland, has marked a significant change in the diplomatic relationship between the two countries, which is changed from bilateral grant aid to equal partnership.

Vietnam and Finland are enjoying good bilateral relations and growing ties in political and international issues, trade and investments as well as cultural exchange. According to Finnish entrepreneur survey, Finnish companies are very interested in doing business in Vietnam, after China and India.
